PAKMULE is a Texas-based company located in the Hill Country town of New Braunfels. We design and manufacture performance outdoor gear that helps people escape the everyday, pursue their passions, and create lasting memories — all while emphasizing sustainability, conservation, and American manufacturing.
Founded in 2017, PAKMULE exists to help people Load and Go. As we grow, we are focused on expanding our retail footprint, strengthening partnerships, and building a world-class team that believes in getting outside and doing things the right way.
Position Overview
The Director of Sales is responsible for building, leading, and scaling PAKMULE's national wholesale and retail sales efforts. Acting as the face of PAKMULE to retail buyers, distributors, and strategic partners, this role owns revenue growth, key account relationships, and the development of a high-performing sales organization.
This is a player–coach role. The Director of Sales will personally call on key retail accounts while building the foundation for a scalable national sales team.
What You'll Do
Own national wholesale and retail revenue targets
Personally sell into key regional and national retail accounts
Leverage existing buyer relationships to expand retail placement
Develop and execute national sales strategy
Recruit, hire, train, and lead sales representatives or territory managers
Establish sales processes, KPIs, and accountability
Lead trade show strategy and representation
Train dealers and retail staff to improve sell-through
Collaborate with marketing on launches, promotions, and merchandising
Forecast revenue and manage sales pipelines
Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams
About You
You are a proven sales leader who still loves to sell. You are relationship-driven, goal-oriented, and excited by the opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up.
You understand how retail buyers think, enjoy being in the field, and are comfortable balancing hands-on execution with strategic leadership.
Qualifications
8–12+ years of wholesale or retail sales experience
Proven success selling into retail stores (outdoor, automotive, lifestyle preferred)
Experience building, managing, or scaling a sales team
Strong existing retail buyer relationships preferred
Comfortable traveling 50–60% nationally
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong business and financial acumen
Highly organized and results-driven
College degree preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary (DOE) plus performance-based bonus or commission
Travel expenses covered
15 days PTO plus 9 company holidays (nearly 5 weeks paid time off)
Opportunity to help build and lead a national sales organization
Location
This role is based in New Braunfels, TX. This position requires close collaboration with leadership and regular travel.

Pay: $55, $95,000.00 per year
