Role PurposeEnsure that only clear, homeowner-approved, 100% accurate material lists and complete scopes hit Project Management so crews can execute without delays, rework, or guesswork.The Person We're After· Detail-obsessed systems thinker who loves checklists, templates, and closing loops.· Construction-fluent across decks, siding, roofing, windows, and bath/kitchen remodels.· Buildertrend power user (or quick study) who keeps statuses, logs, and files immaculate.· Calm, direct communicator with homeowners, vendors, and internal teams.· Root-cause hunter: when a material variance occurs, you fix the template, not just the ticket.· Decision-ready under time pressure; comfortable owning outcomes and dates.What You'll OwnEnsure all construction activities comply with safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations, before sending them into production.· Assess full Scope of Work against service-specific SOW checklists to verify continuity of the project details.· Produce 100% accurate material lists using standardized order sheets.· Investigate every miss; update the standard when variances arise. Each miss is used to hone the standardization process.· Maintain a clean Material List Format and upload to Job File + Start Pack Daily Log in our CRM. Buildertrend.· Drive the permitting workflow; post updates in Buildertrend as received.· Have material list ready before permits release· Standardization & Continuous Improvement· Keep Standardized Material Checklists and individual SOW checklists current.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts accurately. Then create materal lists and instructions to ensure the project can successfully be completed.Apply for and obtain permitting when needed.Tools You'll Use· Buildertrend (statuses, logs, crew sheet, files, homeowner comms)· Standardized Material Order Sheets (Office Production)· Timeline Estimation Instructions· Pre-Construction Handoff -> Project Management template· (Nice to have) Takeoff/markup tools (e.g., Bluebeam, CAD, Chief Architect), Google WorkspaceKey Outcomes (Your Scorecard)· Material accuracy: >= 99.5% (zero re-dispatches due to your list)· Cycle time: Sales intro -> Ready to Schedule within agreed SLA by service line· Template discipline: 100% of variances reflected in updated standards within 24 hrs· Buildertrend hygiene: 100% of required uploads, statuses, and logs complete and on time· Homeowner comms: Handoff sent same day when a job hits Ready to ScheduleMust-Haves· 4–7+ years in residential remodeling pre-con/estimating/PM or equivalent· Proven takeoff and materials planning for at: decks, baths/kitchens.· Strong code/permit literacy; comfortable coordinating permitting/engineering· Flawless documentation habits; you treat templates as living, governed assetsStrong communication skills for clear articulation of project scope, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders at all levels.
