About the Role

Live Free Construction is expanding into the Phoenix market with a dedicated focus on Gas station remodels, tear-downs, and new builds. We are seeking a highly capable Construction Manager / Superintendent to lead field operations, manage subcontractors, and help launch this division from the ground up.

If you have experience in fuel station construction, C-store remodels, commercial remodels, or ground-up builds, this is an opportunity to take ownership of an entire region and grow with a fast-expanding company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day onsite operations for multiple gas station remodels and new builds
  • Coordinate, schedule, and oversee all subcontractors (demo, concrete, MEP, framing, fuel systems, etc.)
  • Conduct daily site walks, maintain professional jobsite conduct, and resolve issues proactively
  • Manage inspections, permitting interactions, and compliance with local and state regulations
  • Maintain OSHA safety standards, enforce safety protocols, and conduct site safety meetings
  • Ensure quality control, punchlist completion, and proper close-out documentation
  • Maintain accurate project schedules and daily logs
  • Communicate progress and updates to the Owner/GM and Project Manager
  • Verify accuracy of subcontractor invoices, track change orders, and maintain budgets
  • Represent the company professionally with owners, inspectors, vendors, and partners
  • Help develop the Phoenix division's operational structure, systems, and repeatable processes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Superintendent, Construction Manager, or similar role
  • Commercial experience required; fuel station experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with phones/tablets for daily logs, photos, and updated schedules
  • Ability to read construction plans and understand all major trades
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background check (if required by our clients)
