We understand how important your role is, caring for pets while working with team members and managing the expectations of clients and doctors.

Urban PetRx is searching for a full-time veterinary technician that will provide exceptional care to our clients (human and furry).

We have a wonderful team with most having been with us for 2+ years. Everyone has a rotating work week averaging 35 hours. We rarely leave late. Lunch time and holidays are paid. Full time benefits are offered – details provided upon interview.

Comfortable with and able to perform effectively and efficiently:

*Pet restraint

*Anesthesia

*Surgical prep

*Venipuncture

*IV catheter placement,

*The preparation and evaluation of UAs/fecals/ear cytologies, taking x- rays including dental x-rays, running blood sample in-house and familiarity with submitting to outside labs including Universities.

*Perform treatments of hospitalized patients

*Dental prophylaxis.

*Candidates must also enjoy client education/interaction.

We are a Cloud focused practice in both diagnostics and software. An interest in, proficiency with, and desire to work in this way is required.

The Bridgeport neighborhood is a charming community on the south-side of Chicago. It is home to the White Sox, Bridgeport Coffee and Marz Brewing. Our practice is close to it all (transportation, fun, etc).

CVT or CVT candidates preferred, but will consider those with more than 1 years of technician experience in a busy practice setting.
