Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for helping individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans and assist patients in improving their daily living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to enhance their independence and quality of life.
  • Implement individualized care plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring that each patient's needs are met.
  • Provide therapy services in various settings, including home health, acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and geriatrics.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment strategies and monitor patient progress.
  • Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support therapeutic interventions and ensure safe practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, progress notes, and medical terminology in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage with pediatric patients as well as adult populations, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs across age groups.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.

Experience

  • Proven experience in patient care within settings such as inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, or skilled nursing environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging and occupational health practices is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of care plans, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology is essential for success in this role.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics will be beneficial.
  • A valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required along with any state-specific licensure or credentials. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our patients through effective occupational therapy interventions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
