Salary: $150K–$225K + comprehensive benefits package

Summary

A growing behavioral health organization with multiple psychiatric hospitals is seeking an AR Manager to lead and expand its billing operations. This role involves overseeing a team of billers, managing accounts receivable across multiple psychiatric hospital groups, and ensuring accurate, compliant billing for both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs (PHP).

This position can be based in West Hempstead, NY , Hollywood, FL , or Boca Raton, FL , with flexibility for semi-remote work. The organization is actively expanding through acquisitions, offering an excellent opportunity for a billing leader eager to build structure and drive growth within a fast-scaling behavioral health network.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee AR and billing functions across multiple psychiatric hospital facilities in several states.
  • Manage and develop a team of billers; ensure timely claims submission, follow-up, and collections.
  • Maintain compliance with payer, state, and federal requirements, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing.
  • Oversee billing workflows for inpatient psychiatric, partial hospitalization (PHP), and detox services.
  • Generate and present AR and financial performance reports to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Strong background in psychiatric hospital and/or PHP billing.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and scale operations.
  • Expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize billing performance.
