Overview

I'm partnering with a VC-backed, high-growth startup that's building a next-generation labor marketplace platform redefining how companies hire.

Their technology connects ambitious organizations with exceptional talent through data, automation, and AI-driven matching, helping teams grow faster and smarter.

The product has scaled impressively without a dedicated Product Manager — driven entirely by engineers who think like product owners. They're now looking to bring on a Senior Software Engineer who shares that mindset and can help take the platform to its next stage of growth.

The Role

We're looking for an engineer with 4–8 years of experience who thrives in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments.

This is not a heavily structured role — it's ideal for someone who wants to build, own, and influence the direction of a product from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and scale core systems that power a high-impact hiring platform.
  • Design and implement intelligent matching, workflow automation, and recruiter productivity tools.
  • Work with large-scale data systems that intelligently connect candidates and companies.
  • Collaborate directly with founders, design, and leadership on product direction and experimentation.
  • Operate with autonomy — bringing clarity and momentum to ambiguous technical challenges

About You

  • 4–8 years' experience as a Senior, Lead, or Staff Engineer, delivering production systems end-to-end.
  • Proven experience at a high-growth, VC-backed startup — this is a

  • Strong technical skills across TypeScript, PostgreSQL, , and GCP.
  • A genuine product mindset — you think beyond code to customer impact and iteration.
  • Thrive in on-site, high-velocity environments where ownership and accountability matter.
