Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in delivering top-notch services. What you'll do
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a seamless flow of operations through effective chairside assisting.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Manage electronic medical records (EMR) using systems like Dentrix and Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote their overall health.
- Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients and their families.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and maintaining organized medical records.
- Collaborate with the dental team on treatment planning for general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more.
Basic qualifications
- Proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to communicate effectively with both patients and the dental team.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices to ensure patient safety.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with medical coding and documentation for comprehensive patient care management.
- Knowledge of 3D scanning technology for advanced imaging solutions in dental procedures.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting, particularly with pediatric patients.
