Good Works Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing commercial facilities—including schools, churches, and hospitals—as well as occasional residential properties across the DFW area and surrounding communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance and repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. Flexibility is essential, as daily work is guided by project needs, service requests, and varying tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of building systems and equipment.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to service requests.
  • Conduct inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues before they escalate.
  • Work independently or collaboratively to complete projects efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, vendors, and office staff to ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to handle emergency maintenance requests. Good Works Construction provides 24/7 service, and technicians must be available for scheduled after-hours calls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Proven experience in commercial maintenance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, manuals, and safety documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as part of the on-call rotation.
