Summary

As our workload continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced VDC/BIM Detailer to join our team in Houston. The successful candidate for this role will know how to create and manage a digital, 3D representation of a building's physical and functional characteristics while focusing on the modeling and data-related aspects of a project.

Responsibilities

·      Work with REVIT, Bluebeam, and Navisworks to create, modify, and release drawings.

·      Create an accurate, coordinated, and information-rich model for visualization and data management on all projects.

·      Coordinate and consult with other team members to design or layout detailed components and to resolve design or other problems.

·      Self-check your own work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.

·      Work from drawings, sketches, scanned images, customer drawings, or government drawings or specifications.

·      Attend project meetings and provide information about the status of requested designs.

·      Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related information.

·      Produce mark-up drawings for layout purposes using Bluebeam.

·      Create prefabrication drawings.

·      Modify and revise designs to correct inefficiencies or to reduce production problems

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with REVIT, Bluebeam and Navisworks
• Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office products (Bluebeam, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to understand architectural and structural drawings
• High School Diploma or GED
• Superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task; employee will be expected to work on simultaneous, fast-paced projects with critical deadlines.
• Experience as a commercial electrician is a plus
• Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology is a plus

TRAVEL REQUIRED:

• Requires the ability to report to job sites or offices throughout Texas.
• May be requested to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
