The Opportunity
As an AI Specialist, you will be the technical sales expert who accelerates deals by demonstrating how Cohesity's AI capabilities solve complex enterprise challenges. You'll be aligned to a specific sales area, working in partnership with the Vice President, District Managers, Account Executives, and Sales Engineers to provide specialized AI expertise that differentiates Cohesity and drives revenue growth.

This is a technical overlay role for someone who can bridge deep AI expertise with sales execution. You'll support your assigned territory by leading technical discovery, architecting AI solutions, conducting compelling demonstrations, and driving proof-of-concepts that accelerate deal closure and expand Cohesity's AI footprint.

What You'll Do
Technical Sales Leadership Across Your Territory

  • Partner with your assigned sales teams to identify and support AI opportunities across your sales area
  • Overlay onto account teams as the AI subject matter expert
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to uncover AI use cases in data security, intelligent search, compliance, and threat detection
  • Conduct executive and technical demonstrations of Cohesity's AI capabilities
  • Design and execute proof-of-concepts that validate technical fit and accelerate buying decisions

Solution Architecture & Technical Design

  • Architect AI-powered solutions that integrate Cohesity capabilities with customer environments
  • Design technical approaches for AI workloads including ransomware detection, intelligent data search, and automated recovery
  • Provide technical guidance on implementing AI features within customer data infrastructure
  • Create reference architectures and technical documentation for AI use cases
  • Assess customer technical requirements and map them to Cohesity's AI platform capabilities

Competitive Positioning & Technical Validation

  • Position Cohesity's AI capabilities against competitive solutions in technical evaluations
  • Lead competitive technical discussions highlighting differentiated AI features
  • Develop technical battle cards and competitive positioning materials for AI capabilities
  • Drive technical wins through superior architecture, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept execution
  • Provide technical validation that removes barriers to purchase decisions

Enablement & Collaboration

  • Work closely with District Managers to prioritize accounts with highest AI opportunity potential
  • Participate in territory planning, technical strategy sessions, and deal reviews
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence AI roadmap based on field feedback
  • Partner with Business Value Consultants to connect technical capabilities to business outcomes

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Engage with IT architects, data engineers, security teams, and technical decision-makers
  • Lead technical workshops and briefings that showcase AI capabilities
  • Support channel partners with technical expertise on AI solutions
  • Build technical credibility that establishes trust and accelerates sales cycles

What You Bring
Required Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting roles
  • Deep hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and their enterprise applications
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, storage systems, security architectures, and data pipelines
  • Proven ability to architect and present technical solutions to diverse audiences
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with technical discovery, demonstrations, and POCs
  • Excellent presentation skills for both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization across multiple sales teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI technologies including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and ML model deployment
  • Background in cybersecurity, data protection, backup/recovery, or data management solutions
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks and AI governance requirements
  • Relevant certifications in AI/ML, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate's skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.

Pay Range :

$190,400.00-$238,000.00

The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
Current pay transparency shows the OTE (On-Target Earnings) for commission-based roles.
