Job SummaryUnder general supervision, the Billing Specialist compiles client data and prepares invoices and other computerized bills. Duties and tasks may vary depending on assigned client group.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-5 years of billing experience.
  • Strong bookkeeping skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including experience with Excel, Pivot Tables and Outlook.
  • Must work with a high degree of accuracy, courtesy, timeliness, logic and structure. Attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written and communication skills.
  • Professional attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Willingness to handle simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work and interact with clients and other departments.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Prior billing/eligibility experience preferred.
