The Position:
We are seeking a
Chief of Staff to the CFO
who will serve as a trusted advisor, integrator, and force multiplier for the Finance leadership team. This role ensures the CFO's priorities are executed with discipline and consistency, while providing the governance, operating rhythm, and cross-functional integration needed to deliver on Platform Finance's multi-year transformation agenda. Unlike the PMO (which drives enterprise program delivery) or the Transformation Program Manager (which executes day-to-day transformation milestones), the CoS focuses on strategic alignment, communication, and organizational effectiveness — enabling the CFO to lead at the right altitude across Platform Finance and NMC².
Key Responsibilities
CFO Leverage & Strategic Alignment
• Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the CFO; anticipate needs, manage priorities, and ensure follow-through.
• Drive alignment between CFO priorities and the Finance leadership team's execution.
• Support CFO in board, investor, and executive committee engagements.
Operating Rhythm & Governance
• Design and run the CFO's operating rhythm, including leadership team meetings, staff forums, QBRs, and offsites.
• Partner with PMO and TPM to ensure transformation milestones and risks are surfaced and addressed.
• Maintain the governance framework for Finance, ensuring accountability, unification and transparency across functions.
Organizational Effectiveness
• Support Finance leadership in decision-making, communication, and cross-functional integration.
• Partner with HR on org health, succession planning, and talent initiatives.
• Manage critical strategic projects that fall outside the scope of existing functions.
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
• Prepare CFO for key internal and external meetings (board, investors, executives, regulators).
• Draft communications, presentations, and updates to ensure consistent messaging.
• Serve as a bridge between the CFO and Finance leadership, ensuring clarity and accountability.
Qualifications / Experience
• 15+ years of experience in finance, consulting, or transformation leadership.
• Proven experience as a Chief of Staff, strategy leader, or senior program leader in a complex enterprise.
• Strong understanding of Finance functions (Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, ERP/FIS, PMO) and transformation at scale.
• Track record of influencing at the C-suite level and managing across multiple senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to distill complexity for executive audiences.
• Strong program management discipline with ability to track multiple initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CPA) preferred.
Leadership Competencies
• Trusted advisor — able to anticipate CFO needs and operate with discretion.
• Integrator — connects functions, people, and priorities across Finance and the enterprise.
• Strategic communicator — sharp writer and presenter, comfortable with executive and investor audiences.
• Organizational driver — creates discipline, rhythm, and accountability.
• Agile leader — balances governance with flexibility, able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
