Family Law Paralegal

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join the team at Moore Family Law Group. You'll play a vital role in supporting our attorneys by drafting and managing legal documents, preparing filings, coordinating with clients, and conducting thorough legal research.

Compensation:

$27 - $38 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload with minimal supervision and be a resource to the attorneys
• Keeping case notes and preparing for case meetings
• Understanding of court procedure and the family code
• Actively communicate with clients
• Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery, such as interrogatories, subpoenas, demands, and deposition notices
• Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research, and assisting with client meetings
• Draft RFOs, motions, DVROs, Judgments
• Interview clients to gather information

Great case management includes calendaring, tasking, and notekeeping. If you don't like a well-calendared or documented file - DO NOT APPLY. The right Paralegal will understand the importance of this and the benefits to the team and the client.

Qualifications:

• At least three solid years of family law experience as a paralegal, including family law judicial council forms, pleadings, family court procedure, Rules of Court, and CCP. Understand that we are looking for someone who can onboard and take over a full caseload. We want to acclimate you to our systems and processes, but we are not able to train you to be a paralegal. However, there is room for growth
• Experience with tracking time
• Experience with CRM, tech-savvy, ability to learn and use new tools
