Overview:
Perform duties relating to the operation of Vinfen facilities, including appliances, furniture and equipment moves, building maintenance, and repairs. Assist licensed technicians in electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
Responsibilities:
The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below:
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and installation functions. Repair or replace defective parts; reassemble and test for proper operation and safety.
- Perform pipe fitting, carpentry, and related trades work including repairs to fixtures, doors, partitions, locks, and other interior and exterior equipment. Assisting maintenance of building structure including making repairs to floors, roofs, walls, and walks.
- Performs routine preventive maintenance and assisting operation and troubleshooting on boilers, air conditioning systems, fire protection systems, and other mechanical equipment.
- Maintain necessary work records, equipment records, logs, and timesheets.
- Performs maintenance checks as scheduled or required in buildings and equipment. Detect and report safety issues, improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and report unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Maintain grounds and landscaping, performs now removal.
- Insure that all work meets prescribed standards of quality and is in compliance with all laws and safety procedures and policies
- Perform other related duties, as required.

Qualifications:
Typical Requirements:
Minimum ten years' general mechanical experience.
Preferred /Required Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Driving Requirements:
Driving is a requirement for this position using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle. A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment. Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least one year, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check, which is subject to annual checks. A safe driving record must be maintained. If using a personal vehicle, you must possess and maintain adequate insurance.
Physical Effort:
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. No staff will lift any object greater than 50 pounds without a mechanical lifting devices, such as dollies, hand trucks, and lift trucks.
Ability to stand, file, sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl around a facility.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed.
Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand and move around the facility.
Ability to speak, hear and communicate with persons served, staff, external representative.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Required Credentials/Licenses:
OSHA - 10 hours construction training within 6 months of hire
