Part-Time Project Manager – Legal Team

Summary
Carex is partnering with a FinTech industry partner to find a detail-oriented and collaborative
Part-Time Project Manager
to support their Legal team. This role will help drive efficiency, organization, and alignment across legal operations and cross-functional initiatives. The Project Manager will coordinate projects, track deliverables, and ensure priorities are executed effectively in partnership with attorneys, compliance professionals, and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Legal team leaders to plan, coordinate, and execute key department initiatives and projects.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and task tracking tools to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Facilitate team meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action items to maintain project momentum.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Compliance, Risk, and IT) to align on project objectives and dependencies.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency in legal operations.
  • Track project budgets, milestones, and resource needs as applicable.
  • Prepare status reports and communicate progress, risks, and issues to leadership.
  • Support change management activities, including documentation and communication related to new processes or tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal and business information with discretion and professionalism.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally supporting legal, compliance, or corporate functions.
  • Proven ability to organize multiple priorities, manage timelines, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with project management software and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, or similar).
  • Familiarity with legal operations, contract management systems, or compliance processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to identify and address issues before they impact progress.
