Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000

The HR Coordinator will assist the HR Manager with a wide range of responsibilities including benefits administration, onboarding, recruitment, payroll support, CLE tracking for attorneys, and the creation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures. This individual must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and assist in the offer and hiring process
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientation, documentation, and setup
  • Coordinate background checks and reference verifications
Benefits & Payroll Administration
  • Support benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries
Attorney CLE Tracking & Compliance
  • Track and maintain Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits for attorneys
  • Ensure attorneys meet state bar CLE requirements and deadlines
  • Coordinate CLE reporting and provide reminders for upcoming deadlines or deficiencies
  • Maintain accurate CLE documentation and assist in planning CLE-eligible events
Compliance
  • Help ensure compliance with labor laws and internal protocols
  • Support audits and required HR documentation for regulatory agencies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
General HR Support
  • Provide administrative support to the HR Manager on a wide variety of HR projects
  • Assist with performance review processes and tracking training completions
  • Respond to general HR inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and employment laws
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday)
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing CLE tracking and legal HR functions
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or working toward certification)
  • Previous experience in a law firm or similar high-compliance environment
