We are a mail-order marine engine and parts warehouse seeking responsible, reliable individuals to be a MARINE engine technician in our engine production department. Jobs may vary from day-to-day.

The responsibilities will require physical, hands-on tasks, lifting engines with an electric hoist, gathering parts for the engine production team, finding parts in our warehouse bins, and working with others as an assistant.

We are a fast paced engine and parts business and because this is a general mechanics assistant position, responsibilities and tasks will vary from day to day.

Experience should include:

- Marine engine knowledge (MerCruiser, Volvo Penta, Indmar, PCM, Crusader, etc)

- Hand-tool knowledge (wrenches, sockets, etc)

- Assist customers with phone technical support

- Familiar with pneumatic air tools (nail gun, staple gun, cut-off wheel, impact gun etc)

- Basic woodworking/carpentry skills (able to use a saw, sawzall, measure, cut strait lines, etc)

- Must have your own tools

- Assembling/installing components on engines

- Diagnosing marine engine issues

- Forklift experience

- Ability to lift 50 pounds (parts boxes)

- Ability to spend your work day standing

- Basic regular work area upkeep: empty waste bins into dumpster, sweep floors, organize parts stock, parts inventory, etc.

- Knowledge of general shop equipment

- Computer knowledge

- Reliable transportation

- Valid drivers license

- Ability to work 40 hours/week - perhaps overtime during summer months

Opportunity for advancement, 90 day review period with opportunity for pay increase and Blue Cross health insurance with an 80/20 premium payment.
