Objective: To manage and direct project personnel to achieve agreed time, cost and quality and safety standards for assigned projects in a way that fosters repeat business with each client and builds/maintains positive relationships with contractors, consultants, and architects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs, administers, and coordinates project activities conforming to the established policies and procedures pursuant to the published requirements of the project.
- Develops and maintains the primary client relationship and overall project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Cultivates new business opportunities with assigned clients.
- Responsible for the overall project coordination and timely flow of information between our client and the various vendors and subcontractors.
- Administers project contracts (client, vendor, and sub-contractor).
- Generates project change orders and monitors all project deliverables.
- Responsible for notifying CFO when specific project milestones have been achieved for billing purposes and following up with clients on scheduled payments.
- Primary responsibilities include initiating and directing the ad hoc problem-solving activities required to maintain projects on budget and on schedule and are vested by the company with the authority to make decisions pursuant to the published and approved budget, schedule, and scope.
- Responsible, in conjunction with the Scheduler/Planner, for the preparation of the overall project schedule at the onset of the project and communicating design and production schedule requirements to all members of the project team. Project schedules will be developed using Smartsheet and kept current throughout the life of the project.
- Responsible for the preparation of the project Job Cost Status and Tracking reports showing, at least on a weekly basis, the current project percentage of completion versus percentage expended and the impact to the overall project performance and estimated final cost.
- Initiates and chairs project design and production meetings with the project team members, weekly or on an ad hoc basis as the needs of the project demand.
- Responsible for daily incoming and outgoing project correspondence and the archiving in a project "chron" file with all pertinent written communication between all members of the project team.
- Responsible for the overall project installation and with the Production Manager manages the installation supervisor and team, and local subcontractors on site.
- Responsibilities extend to the ongoing relationship with their current clients for future projects they may be considering. They should maintain a relationship with their clients after the current project is completed and regularly inform Sales & Marketing of any new opportunities with that client.
- Along with identifying new opportunities the PM will oversee the effort to develop estimates and proposals for new scopes of work.
- Reports directly to the Managing Director and Owner.
Qualifications / Experience / Skills and Attributes
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
- Level I: Minimum four (4) years of Project Management
- Level II: Minimum seven (7) years of related construction experience and in managing construction projects
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
- The ability to manage a team providing leadership and direction on the critical aspects of projects, including identification, and taking action where performance is not meeting expectations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating critical project details to a wide range of recipients
- A good working understanding of the principles of 'forecast cost at complete'.
- Have the presence, confidence, and knowledge to manage the risk aspects of contracts including the ability to protect the company's contractual position with appropriately written correspondence.
- Intermediate to advanced expertise with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, with a sense of urgency, to meet constant deadlines.
- A positive, proactive, and determined attitude
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize, with good time management skills.
- The ability to juggle any number of project opportunities at any given time.
PREFERRED:
- Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
- A working knowledge of the design and fabrication process common to this industry
- Flexibility for travel if Project requires this need.
PROJECT FOCUS & EXPERIENCE:
- Artificial Rockwork: Comprehension of concrete construction techniques, materials, and methods (i.e. Theme parks, Zoos, Aquariums, Water Parks, Restaurants and Resorts).
- Showset Installation: Familiarity with production, fabrication and assembly (i.e. Theme parks, Attractions, Trade Shows, Exhibits, and Architectural elements)
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in both office and construction site settings. Working Hours will be dependent to project needs and will typically involve a standard 40-hour week, Monday thru Friday. Circumstances may occur, which will require additional time or days within the work week.

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regularly sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
- Frequent walking on uneven surfaces, including ground in varying weather conditions.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment is required, including but not limited to steel toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.

Pay: $90, $135,000.00 per year
