Culinary Team Member – Job Summary

At Muse, our Culinary Team Members play a vital role in preparing high-quality, made-to-order meals in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager and/or General Manager, this position is responsible for executing food prep, cooking, and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards in cleanliness, food safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:Food Safety & Preparation

  • Adhere to all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols

  • Ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace

  • Control portions and minimize waste through efficient prep practices

  • Prepare food according to standardized recipes and plating guidelines

  • Coordinate production with service times for seamless kitchen flow

Guest Service

  • Ensure all orders are prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner

  • Support the front-of-house team in delivering a friendly, guest-first experience

  • Assist in resolving any issues related to food quality or preparation

Operational Duties

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

  • Memorize menu items, portion sizes, plate builds, and prep procedures

  • Maintain and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas

  • Uphold all food production and safety standards

  • Immediately report any injuries, hazards, or unsafe conditions to management

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and cooking methods

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment

  • Understanding of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Valid driver's license may be required depending on responsibilities

Working Conditions

  • Typical workweek averages 40 hours, with flexibility for emergency coverage

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 pounds

  • Requires bending, twisting, and repetitive motion throughout shift

  • Exposure to hot, cold, and occasionally hazardous kitchen equipment

  • May include occasional delivery or cross-functional restaurant support duties

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour
