Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sushi Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that each guest has an unforgettable dining experience. As a Sushi Server, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service while showcasing our exquisite sushi offerings.

Duties

  • Provide attentive and friendly service to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Take orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, processing transactions efficiently.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the menu, including sushi items, to assist guests in making informed choices.
  • Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, adhering to cash handling policies.
  • Assist with guest relations by addressing any concerns or inquiries in a courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, particularly in fine dining or sushi establishments.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment.
  • Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
