Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes with attention to detail, presentation, and flavor balance
  • Oversee morning food production, ensuring timely delivery of fresh pasta offerings for service
  • Supervise kitchen staff during the morning shift, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of food quality and safety
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with menu planners to develop innovative pasta dishes that align with restaurant themes and customer preferences
  • Lead team management efforts by training new staff, assigning tasks, and fostering a positive work environment

Skills

  • Extensive culinary experience with a focus on pasta preparation and fine dining cuisine
  • Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting
  • Strong background in food production, food handling, and food safety protocols
  • Knowledge of inventory management, control procedures, and cost-effective food management practices
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Experience in banquet service, catering, or large-scale food service environments is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with restaurant management principles including shift management, menu planning, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality
