We are hiring a Full-time Deputy Director of Housing and Mental Health Services

The Deputy Director of Housing and Mental Health Services is responsible for the supervision and direction of assigned clinical program managers, assigned clinical supervisees, and assigned student interns. The Deputy Director of Housing and Mental Health Services also maintains responsibility for ultimate clinical decision making across the programs they manage within the agency and will work in concert with the Director of Housing Services, other directors, deputy directors, clinical program managers, and other consulting professionals as necessary, in directing clinical decision-making throughout other programs as needed.

Rate of Pay: $100,000 - $113,000 per year

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding, demonstrating, and utilizing outward mindset in work duties and interactions and may assist in the facilitation of regular agency Arbinger trainings.
  • High degree of organization and the ability to manage and delegate multiple task sets.
  • Ability to approach staff and program challenges with a non-judgmental and solution-focused mindset, which allows for creative problem solving and relationship management.
  • Maintains and up-to-date knowledge set in all areas of responsibility.
  • Attendance and highly efficient and productive with their scheduled hours.
  • Works in cooperation with the Director of Housing Services to appropriately develop, advance and preserve the philosophy, mission, vision, values, and financial strength of the agency.
  • Promotes employee growth with regular employee evaluations, monthly management meetings, and follow-up meetings.
  • Assists Program Managers in management of employee schedule and corrective actions.
  • Empowers and delegates key duties to others while maintaining goal clarity and commitment as well as employee's professional development and agency needs.
  • Helps employees create a professional development plan, which includes improving job performance, how goals and objectives will be met, a timeline for expected accomplishments, and measures of progress and goal attainment.
  • Conducts clinical supervision of assigned supervisees and student interns.
  • Assures implementation of and adherence to clinical policies driven by professional codes of ethics, Federal and state laws regarding confidentiality, evidence-base practice, and best-practice documentation standards

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a master's degree (MSW, MSC) in the treatment of mental health disorders.
  • 2 years of post-licensure experience (no less than four years of post-graduate experience).
  • Specific education or certification, licensure, or relevant long-term experience around Mental Health.
  • Current professional licensure within the State of Utah.
