Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Family Peer Support Supervisor, where you will lead and empower a team of family peer support specialists committed to transforming lives through compassionate, peer-led guidance. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the delivery of high-quality support services, and foster a collaborative environment that promotes recovery, resilience, and hope. Your leadership will help families feel connected, supported, and navigate behavioral health challenges with confidence and strength, making a meaningful difference in their journeys toward wellness.

Duties

  • Supervise and mentor family peer support specialists, including youth peers and parents peers, to ensure effective delivery of services rooted in lived experience and recovery principles
  • Coordinate team meetings, offering coaching for peer staff to enhance their skills on peer support, crisis intervention, crisis management, behavioral health, motivational interviewing, and wellness planning to enhance team skills
  • Oversee the implementation and documentation of services within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for accurate client tracking and reporting
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support professional development opportunities for staff
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, community agencies, and families to develop individualized support plans that address specific needs and goals
  • Lead crisis response efforts by guiding staff through crisis intervention protocols and managing complex situations with sensitivity and expertise
  • Promote a positive team culture focused on empowerment, respect, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate enhanced peer support opportunities for families and youth in the community to expand natural supports

Experience

  • Proven experience in behavioral health or mental health roles with a focus on peer support or mentoring
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and crisis management techniques within mental health or addiction settings
  • Strong background in social work principles and practices related to family support services
  • Experience utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and data management
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing strategies to facilitate client engagement and behavior change
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in peer support or community-based setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and build collaborative relationships
