Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires hands-on experience with various types of machinery, including farm equipment, excavators, and automotive systems. A commitment to safety and quality service is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles and heavy machinery, including tractors, cranes, and forklifts.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, and alignment adjustments.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication projects.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand complex mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, transmissions, suspensions, HVAC systems, and diesel engines.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed for customer reference.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle or equipment needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while working in the shop or field environments.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanic or Service Technician in automotive or heavy equipment fields.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
  • Familiarity with various types of machinery including but not limited to excavators, cranes, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers.
  • Experience with electrical systems is a plus; ability to perform soldering tasks is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques for repair work.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required by the job duties.
  • Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
