Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist will focus on improvement of inventory accuracy and strategic warehouse planning through daily cycle counting and audits of pick and put-away transactions. The Inventory Specialist will coordinate SAP data corrections with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality and Finance to minimize shrink and improve warehouse productivity.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder), Political Asylee or Refugee.
Job Responsibilities- Run daily cycle count documents, execute physical counts and record counts in SAP to achieve ABC frequency requirements of high turnover/high value A items 4 times per year; mid-range B items 2 times per year and low usage/low value C items 1 time per year.
- Run warehouse reports to analyze the accuracy of SLOC/storage bins.
- Analyze layout of shelving and vertical lift trays for most efficient picking and put away strategies. Physical movement should be minimized, and items similar in appearance should be separated.
- Investigate missing inventory and resolve. Assist Warehouse in discovery, analysis, and correction of inventory error root causes. Promote quality and continuous improvement.
- Recommend inventory error prevention processes and retrain individuals as needed.
- Support to New Products Introduction (NPI) and CRN reactivations. Review and understand the impacts of Engineering Changes (EC) on item master parameters and inventory.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- SAP and MS Office/Excel experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain.
- Must have strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Must have persuasive communication skills and perform well in a demanding environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend and climb stair ladders.
