FAME is seeking an experienced and strategic Operations Manager to provide for our day to day support for FAME's clients, internal and external customers, and partners in the following areas: FAME's portfolio of commercial and education financing products and services. This role will be responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities and onboard new programs accordingly. All efforts will be aimed at providing excellent customer service, employee development, and performance in meeting strategic objectives in support of Maine people. 

Requirements

  1. Four (4) year college degree in social sciences, business or related field is required (or an appropriate combination of education and work experience).
  2. Minimum of five (5) years related experience, preferably commercial lending, or commercial loan servicing experience. Previous experience leading a customer service team.
  3. Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of automated financial delivery systems.
  4. Familiarity with commercial and educational lending programs workflows and processes required.
  5. Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal relations, and oral and written communication. 
  6. Strong time management and problem-solving skills are required. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment are required.
  7. Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills.
  8. Must possess a positive, achievement-oriented attitude to build strong relationships with all clients, vendors, and staff.
  9. Motivated, self-starter with proven team building skills.
  10. Ability to balance duties as individual contributor as well as work in a close team environment, strong team building skills; work independently; and interact effectively with management and peers required.
  11. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and provide recommendations. 
  12. Knowledge of regulatory audits and State and Federal compliance rules preferred.
