What You Will Be Doing:

You will drive the design and development of cutting-edge semiconductors for high-performance pulsed power systems used in Helion's fusion generators. You will work in a fast-paced environment to develop, test, and implement high-reliability, high-efficiency switching components, with a strong emphasis on rapid development cycles. You will report directly to our Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering, and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office.

You Will:

Spearhead efforts to gather and utilize requirements for switching components and apply them toward design of physical products Drive the design and development of novel pulsed power electronics components and systems, focusing on high-efficiency, high-reliability semiconductor solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of electrical, mechanical, and physics-based principles in semiconductor developmentLead development cycles, including hands-on prototyping, small-scale testing, and large-scale performance validationConduct simulations, testing, and analysis to validate designs and iterate quickly using data-backed decision makingStay informed on emerging semiconductor materials, device architectures, and industry trendsDocument design processes, specifications, test results, and findings for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

Required Skills:

Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field8+ years of experience in power electronics and high voltage semiconductor designStrong foundation in semiconductor physics, power electronics, and circuit design principlesProven experience with rapid prototyping and development cycles in a high-tech environmentBackground working with semiconductor fabricators to manufacture semiconductor devices Proficiency with simulation tools and test equipment for power electronics

Total Compensation and Benefits

Helion's compensation package includes a competitively benchmarked base salary, meaningful equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation is determined through a holistic evaluation of your experience, qualifications, and our commitment to internal equity - ensuring fairness and transparency across our teams. We are committed to fostering a fair and equitable environment in every aspect of our operations, including compensation.

This is an exempt salaried role.

Annual Base Pay

$180,000 - $225,000 USD
