Shift: Mon–Fri, 8-hour shifts to start; may transition to 4x10s after training

Job Summary
Perform post-assembly inspection and mechanical and electrical testing on new or repaired utility-scale generators (low and high voltage), ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards. Testing includes high voltage electrical tests, vibration tests, and functional tests.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform electrical tests including Hi-pot, surge, partial discharge, and heat run testing.
• Inspect and test generators and prototypes using blueprints, schematics, SOPs, and testing tools.
• Work with the Test Engineer to set up generators for heat run and overspeed testing.
• Prepare reports on serial production, heat run, and R&D testing.
• Coordinate testing schedules with production to meet delivery deadlines.
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts (must be willing to certify).
• Maintain accurate job and time tracking in the DCS system.
• Report material/product defects and assist in root cause analysis.
• Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards and maintain a well-organized workspace.

Required Qualifications
• At least 1 year of test technician experience in a manufacturing setting
• Associates degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or 4+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles
• Ability to follow SOPs, blueprints, and use precision measuring instruments
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Willingness to certify in forklift and crane operation
• Ability to commute to Milwaukee, WI 53208
