About the Role

If you're a skilled Dental Assistant who loves helping patients and being part of a friendly, professional team, this is the job for you At Smiles by Hart, we're a thriving private practice known for advanced technology, exceptional patient care, and a positive team culture.

What You'll Do

  • Provide chairside assistance for a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and specialty treatments.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring instruments, materials, and digital equipment are ready for each procedure.
  • Take digital X-rays, perform digital scanning, 3D restoration design and 3D printing, ensuring high-quality diagnostic information.
  • Assist with digital impressions, intraoral scans, and treatment planning, collaborating with dentists to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols to meet OSHA and CDC standards.
  • Educate patients on oral health, post-treatment care, and procedure expectations in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Document procedures, patient interactions, and treatment plans accurately in the practice management software.
  • Coordinate with other team members to manage patient flow, optimize scheduling, and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
  • Mentor and support junior staff or dental assistants in training, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of Dental Assisting experience (required)
  • Current X-ray certification (required)
  • EFDA certification — willingness to pursue
  • Strong communication and patient-focused skills
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive team player
  • Phlebotomy experience is a plus but not required
