Responsibilities
The SCO Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating the packaging and loading of finished goods and the management of certain raw materials for Eastman's polyester plastics operation at the Columbia, SC site. The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with Eastman Supply Chain, Eastman Quality Assurance, and Eastman Operations personnel, as well as Alpek Materials Movement personnel, to monitor product inventories and plan/coordinate the daily packaging/loading activities for the finished polyester products. The Shipping Coordinator also assists with receipt and management of certain raw materials, including rPET recycle polymer. A person who is successful in this position will have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task and collaborate with multiple work groups, and have sufficient computer skills to utilize the various software applications required to communicate, monitor product inventories, and execute transactions in Eastman's business software. While this role is primarily a day shift position, business needs may occasionally require extended hours or off-hour work for critical situations. While this position is also mostly accomplished in an office setting, the person filling this role will also be required on some frequency to go to warehouses and packaging/loading areas to interface with other personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written

• Ability to learn and effectively utilize various software applications, including

• SAP/R3

• Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SharePoint, Teams)

• PI ProcessBook

• Ability to learn and effectively utilize knowledge of the polymer materials handling, loading, and packaging systems
