We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardscape Installer/Crew Leader to join our team. The Hardscape Installer will be responsible for executing the installation of various hardscaping elements, including but not limited to patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardscape installation techniques, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship. This role requires physical stamina, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. An eye for detail and quality is a must for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow hardscape design plans and specifications to ensure accurate and precise installation.
  • Prepare job sites by clearing debris, excavating, grading, and compacting soil as necessary to create a stable base for hardscape elements.
  • Install various hardscape materials such as pavers, natural stone, concrete, and decorative aggregates according to established standards and best practices.
  • Cut, shape, and fit hardscape materials using appropriate tools and equipment, including saws, compactors, and hand tools.
  • Set and level hardscape materials using proper techniques to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
  • Construct retaining walls, steps, and other vertical elements using proper engineering principles and construction methods.
  • Install edging, borders, and other finishing details to enhance the appearance and functionality of hardscape projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to coordinate project timelines, materials procurement, and site logistics.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment..

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hardscape installation, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
  • Thorough understanding of hardscape materials, techniques, and installation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in operating a wide range of hand and power tools used in hardscape installation.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
