  • MUST BE OVER 21 YEARS OLD
  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND CLEAN MVR
  • MUST READ, WRITE, SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH FLUENTLY
  • MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION (A SHARED VEHICLE OR RIDE SHARING WILL NOT FULFILL THIS REQUIREMENT)
  • MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING
  • MUST PASS PRE-EMPLOYMENT PLACEMENT EXAM
  • ALL ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO ACCEPT AN ASSIGNED POST, TWO CONSECUTIVE POST REFUSALS WILL CAUSE TERMINATION.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Flex Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and ensuring the safety of all individuals on site. This specific position requires the selectee to be "on-call". You tell us when you are available, and we won't call you outside of those times/days. We are currently in need of officers that can cover day shifts, and overnight shifts throughout the week.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
  • Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security breaches.
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Document incidents and prepare reports on any irregularities or disturbances.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns.
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activities or behaviors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques is an advantage.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergencies.
  • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be physically fit to perform duties that may require standing for extended periods or responding quickly to incidents.
