RiverTech is looking for a Project Manager/ Knowledge Manager to work in Washington, DC. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today
The Defense Intelligence Agency's Directorate for Operations (DO) creates and manages disparate and critical initiatives to manage data elements essential to its specific authorized missions. While data sharing has occurred through collaborative means, the process is marred with inconsistent raw data formats, importing and exporting issues across databases, and antiquated systems that are not equipped to process large amounts of data accumulated over time. DO requires more effective and efficient ways to access, store, and share data across the Intelligence Community (IC) functional areas ultimately culminating into fully integrated Common Operational Picture (COP).
In this dual-hatted role, the Project Manager/Knowledge Manager (PjM/KM) will combine project management expertise with knowledge management responsibilities to support the Defense Intelligence Agency's (DIA) Directorate of Operations (DO). As part of a collaborative team, the PjM/KM will aid in the implementation of tools and processes designed to automate and standardize knowledge management practices across the organization. These efforts will enhance efficiency and promote the effective dissemination of information within the DIA DO.
The PjM/KM will design, develop, and implement innovative knowledge management solutions, primarily leveraging SharePoint's well-established and highly configurable environment. These solutions will integrate diverse information data sets into the DO Common Operating Picture (COP), enabling seamless access and analysis. Some solutions will require customization to meet the specific needs of the DIA DO. In this capacity, the PjM/KM will play a pivotal role in developing data strategies, setting goals, and creating phased roadmaps to drive Data Modernization and achieve sustained knowledge management evolution.
As a subject matter expert, the PjM/KM will handle tasks such as identifying, gathering, processing, storing, and analyzing large data sets to uncover trends and generate actionable insights. These efforts will inform decision-making and support the creation of new organizational knowledge. Additionally, the PjM/KM will develop automated tools, products, and organizational aids that transform critical business data into consumable insights for use by various components and the DO COP. This role will also include analyzing business processes and overseeing the creation, testing, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of automated workflows and collaborative services.
