Job Summary

We are a growing STEM education company offering hands-on sicence and engineering programs, after-school classes, community events, and summer camps for K-8 students across multiple counties. Our mission is to inspire the next generation of innovators through engaging, high-quality STEM experiences.

We are expanding in Palm Beach and Martin County and are seeking an energetic, outgoing educator to serve as our local representative, instructor, and community liaison. This role combines teaching and community outreach. You will lead STEM activities with kids AND build partnerships with schools, libraries, recreation departments, and community organizations to grow our presence.

This position is ideal for a certified teacher, former teacher, homeschool educator, or youth educator who loves kids, enjoys public speaking, and is comfortable connecting with leaders and parents.

Responsibilities

Teaching 20-40%

  • Lead STEM lessons and science demonstrations in birthday parties, field trips, and after-school programs.
  • Maintain a fun, safe environment
  • Represent our program professionally at events.

Outreach and Partnerships (60-80%)

  • Visit schools, aftercare programs, libraries, and youth organizations
  • Schedule science demonstrations and school presentations
  • Attend community events, STEM nights, and PTA meetings
  • Build relationships with principals, PTO leaders, rec directors, and businesses
  • Support marketing efforts by distributing materials locally

Hours

  • 10-15 hours/week during school year, including teaching hours during school events, after-school programs, field trips, etc.
  • Additional hours are available during summer camps
  • Flexible scheduling

Compensation

  • Outreach: $15/hr.
  • Instruction: $30/hr.
  • Commissions: $50 per after-school program booked
  • $150-$250 per new camp site partnership
  • $5 per camper recruited through outreach with special code provided
  • 3-5% of revenue for school contracts generated

Requirements

  • Outgoing personality, comfortable speaking to adults and kids
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, or presenting (formal or informal)
  • Reliable transportation and availability to travel between locations
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds of STEM supplies
  • Must pass background check

Preferred

  • Teaching certification or classroom experience
  • Background in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields is preferred
  • Knowledge of Palm Beach and Martin County schools with Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens as a primary focus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students, educators, and community members
  • Experience working with youth programs, STEM activities, or camps
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
