Shift Lead

Job Description:

Toter has a great opportunity for a Shift supervisor role for 3rd shift at our Statesville, NC facility. The Shift Lead is expected to assist the Shift Supervisor with daily production activities, and to assume responsibility for assigned duties in the absence of the supervisor.

Hourly Rate: $24.85

Shift: 3rd hours (10:30PM - 7:00AM).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

SAFETY

• The Production Lead is responsible in assisting the Supervisor in maintaining a safe department at all times and must wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing all duties; they must also ensure that the employees they supervise do the same, and they must stop work immediately if they observe any non-compliance.
• In the Supervisors absence, the Lead will Immediately report all accidents as well as near miss incidents to the General Manager and EHS personnel, actively participates in investigative and prevention activities to ensure that the same type of incident does not reoccur.
• The Lead must maintain an open, honest and respectful relationship with his/her direct reports, they must lead by example, share knowledge openly and work to achieve what is best for the team as a whole.

LEADERSHIP

• The Lead will assist the Supervisor in leading the Shift in the pursuit of continuous improvement, always looking for and encouraging others to look for improvement opportunities in their assigned tasks as well as the plant as a whole.
• The Lead will collaborate with the Supervisor, Human Resources and Environmental, Health & Safety departments to train and assist in acclimating newly hired employees in the department's daily operations, goals and general expectations of the company.
• The Lead will enforce all company policies and adherence to those policies and administer disciplinary warnings and reprimands to employees when necessary.

PRODUCTION

• Start up and shut down manufacturing floor.
• Verify that acceptable quality is being produced on each machine.
• Follow the schedule provided and produce only what is required to complete the orders.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experienced in a fast-paced production environment preferred
• Able to work Overtime (Two Saturdays per month).
• At least 2 years of Management experience.
• Able to work 3rd shift hours
