Inventory Control Clerk

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and bilingual (English/Spanish preferred) Inventory Control Clerk to support the Blending Department. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory of raw materials, managing lot-controlled ingredients, and keeping all documentation aligned with the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR). The Inventory Control Clerk plays a crucial role in staging materials for blending, supporting production, and maintaining strict compliance with food manufacturing standards. You will work closely with warehouse, blending operators, QC/QA, and production leadership to ensure the correct materials are pulled, verified, documented, and issued for each batch. Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to follow BMR requirements exactly as written are essential.
Responsibilities
- Pull, stage, and deliver all raw materials required for blending batches according to the BMR.
- Verify material accuracy including ingredient description, item code, lot number, barcode, expiration date, and weight.
- Perform the weighing and transfer process for returning raw materials to the warehouse.
- Use NetSuite or similar ERP systems to issue materials, record returns, perform adjustments, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Conduct daily and weekly cycle counts for blending-related raw materials and assist with variance reconciliation.
- Maintain proper rotation of materials (FIFO), allergen separation, and controlled storage of ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready staging area, keeping materials labeled and properly stored.
- Support blending operators by ensuring all materials arrive to the room on time and match the BMR.
- Report inventory shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or incorrect lots to supervisors and QA immediately.
- Follow GMP, safety, hygiene, allergen control, and contamination-prevention procedures at all times.
- Safely operate pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and barcode scanners.
Experience & Skills
- Experience in inventory control, blending, warehouse, or food/pharma manufacturing preferred.
- Experience operating manual and electric pallet jacks.
- Ability to move pound boxes or bags throughout the workday.
- Strong understanding of BMRs, documentation requirements, and lot-controlled materials.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong reading and writing skills in English (must be able to read BMRs).
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
