Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Small Engine Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of small engines and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have experience with various types of engines, including automotive and diesel. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in small engines and related equipment.
  • Perform repairs on various types of engines, including automotive, diesel, and generators.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand electrical systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as spark plugs, filters, and belts.
  • Solder electrical connections as needed for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair.
  • Familiarity with schematics and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Experience in soldering electrical components is preferred.
  • Background in automotive repair or diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience as a service technician is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
