DUTIES

  • Keeping the kitchen clean and orderly

  • Preparing some dishes such as salads or other less complex menu items

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.

  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.

  • Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.

  • Sweep or mop or scrub floors.

  • Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain a clean and sanitary work area.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation.

  • Assist in catering events and special functions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong knife skills and ability to use kitchen equipment effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
