JOB SUMMARY

Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.

MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
CERTIFICATIONS/AFFILIATIONS REQUIRED
  • None required, but certifications in welding, HVAC, or electrical systems are a plus.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with extrusion, thermoforming, and trim press equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
KEY INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS

  • Regular interaction with production operators, supervisors, and vendors.

  • Knowledge of safety working procedures which includes LOTO.

  • Ability to lead and work with co-workers in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Knowledge of Extrusion, Thermoforming and trim press setup, thermoforming process knowledge, punch die sharpening via pinning hammer.
  • Ability to work long hours when production needs require it.
