This is a unique role that bridges a technical IT skillset with machine technology. Working with driverless heavy equipment is exciting work and the wireless connectivity that enables the products to perform as designed is critical to our success.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Work on and around heavy equipment to ensure wireless connectivity functions properly.

•    Testing and tuning RF (Wi-Fi and cellular) around the two facilities is a critical part of this job daily.

•    Provide wireless network support for autonomous and remote-control applications.  

•    Technologies could range from Wi-Fi to both private LTE & private 5G cellular.  

•    Provide day-to-day support of wireless technologies that support autonomous and remote-control machines.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• years of experience is required.

•    High School Diploma or GED is required. 

•    Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• years of route/switch core network experience.

•    Experience with configuration and troubleshooting of outdoor wireless experience desired (deeper experience than cellular drive testing).

•    Good understanding of Wireshark and packet capture analysis.

•    Good understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum.

DESIRED SKILLS:

•    Linux experience is desired but not required.

•    Cisco Wireless Lan Controller experience desired.

•    Mechanical capability is desired (installing outdoor access points on solar trailers, working with tools, etc.).

•    Experience with autonomous or remote-control systems is a plus.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

•    Ability to communicate effectively within the team and outside of the company (customers and vendors).

•    Ability to work independently and with a team.
