Job description:

Role: The Staff Accountant focuses on the specific execution of accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Reports to: Controller

Position Type: Full-Time Salaried Exempt

Core Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Preparing financial reports and analyses.
  • General Ledger Management
    :
     Assisting in maintaining and updating the company's general ledger and recording journal entries.
  • Account Reconciliation
    :
     Reconciling bank statements and various accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable
    :
     Assisting with accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments .
  • Process Improvement: Analyzing internal procedures and recommending ways to improve efficiency or reduce costs.
  • Expense Reporting: Preparing employee expense reports and processing reimbursements.
  • Assist in year-end compliance and reporting.
  • Track and manage fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
  • Intercompany invoicing.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CFO

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software (Sage products are a plus).
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting is a plus.
