Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
  • Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting any changes or concerns, and report findings to healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning patient areas, laundry, and organizing supplies
  • Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
  • Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, implementing personalized strategies for engagement and safety
  • Follow established care plans diligently while providing emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being
  • Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, hospice care, autism support, and other relevant certifications to enhance caregiving skills
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols during patient handling, including vital signs monitoring and patient observation techniques
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams, social workers, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive resident care

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or hospice care are advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient monitoring techniques
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary
  • Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Compassionate attitude combined with patience and resilience in challenging situations
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' dignity
