Position Overview

The In-House ADAS Calibration Technician is responsible for performing precise calibrations, diagnostics, and verification procedures on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after windshield replacement, body repairs, or alignment services. This role ensures that vehicle safety systems function according to manufacturer specifications, maintaining safety and compliance standards.

This position is based in-house (not mobile) and works closely with management to deliver accurate, efficient, and high-quality calibrations using only OEM-approved tools and procedures.

Nylunds Collision Center is Certified and Authorized to perform this work on Toyota, Lexus, & Lucid vehicles. These are the only brands in which we perform calibrations on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform static and dynamic ADAS calibrations using our OEM approved systems

  • Follow manufacturer procedures and documentation requirements for each vehicle make and model.

  • Conduct pre- and post-scan diagnostics to identify and document all fault codes and system readiness.

  • Verify system accuracy using calibration targets, alignment equipment, and diagnostic tools.

  • Collaborate with vehicle writers and shop foreman to ensure vehicles are properly prepared for calibration (e.g., correct ride height, tire pressure, alignment).

  • Maintain calibration equipment, tools, and software to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Stay current with manufacturer updates, new ADAS technologies, and calibration best practices.

  • Complete documentation and reports for all calibrations performed, including photos, diagnostic data, and repair records.

  • Comply with all safety standards and quality assurance procedures.

  • Road test and verify functionality of systems before delivering vehicle to the guest.

Qualifications Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, or ADAS calibration

  • Familiarity with OEM repair procedures and vehicle safety systems

  • Strong mechanical and electronic troubleshooting skills

  • Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and calibration software

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Understanding of the safety precautions of electric vehicles

Preferred:

  • ASE certifications (A6 Electrical, A4 Suspension & Steering, or B5 Mechanical)

  • I-CAR certification or equivalent ADAS calibration training

  • Experience using OEM-level equipment (e.g. Toyota GTS+ , Lucid LDS)

  • Understanding of shop management systems and digital repair documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work around moving vehicles and in a shop environment.
