Blue Sea Educational Consulting, Inc. is a boutique educational consulting company, that works exclusively with school districts on Long Island, in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We provide supplemental and support services to students in grades K-12, in schools during the day time, and/or in homes during and after school.

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled ABA Behavior Consultant to work directly with children providing guidance and behavioral strategies to support the student's growth and development. The ABA Behavior Consultant will implement training sessions based on goals outlined in the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the unique needs of student and family.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with students to provide targeted behavior support strategies.
  • Deliver support tailored to the specific needs of the student and/or family.
  • Conduct sessions that may include review of strategies, modeling techniques, and providing guidance for consistent implementation.
  • Follow a plan based on IEP goals and the individualized needs of the student.
  • Fulfill mandates outlined in the IEP as determined by the CSE (Committee on Special Education) team.

Qualifications

Master's degree in one of the following is Required:

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Special Education + ABA Work Experience
  • Psychology + ABA Work Experience
  • Masters Social Work (LMSW or LCSW) + ABA Work Experience
  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities and their families preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ABA principles or behavioral intervention strategies is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Schedule & Location:

  • Flexible scheduling based on family needs. Primarily after school hours with potential for day time opportunities.
  • Services may take place in school, home, or virtual settings as determined by the IEP.
