Join our dynamic team as a Leasing Agent and be at the forefront of connecting prospective residents with their ideal homes This energetic role offers the opportunity to showcase your customer service talents, negotiation skills, and knowledge of property management to create positive leasing experiences. As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for guiding applicants through the leasing process, maintaining strong relationships with prospective applicants, and ensuring compliance with fair housing regulations. We're seeking a licensed Realtor who is comfortable driving to properties throughout Central Florida. This role focuses on converting, company-provided leads by pre-qualifying prospects, conducting property showings, and following up to secure successful leases. While this is a commission-only position, we do provide a mileage stipend to support your travel needs.
Responsibilities
- Virtually greet prospective tenants warmly and answer any questions about the process they may have.
- Manage the entire leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, including application review, background checks, and lease documentation.
- Verify applicant eligibility and pre qualify them.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects and residents to foster strong relationships and upsell additional services or amenities when appropriate.
- Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate property maintenance requests and ensure units are move-in ready.
- Handle conflict management situations professionally, resolving tenant concerns swiftly while maintaining a positive community atmosphere.
- Assist in office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, phone etiquette, and managing customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Appfolio.
Skills
- Proven experience in property leasing or property management with a solid understanding of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to negotiate effectively while maintaining compliance with legal standards; experience in contracts is highly valued.
- Office experience including filing, record keeping, and administrative support functions within a real estate or property management setting.
- Conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes or sensitive situations tactfully.
- Experience with facilities management or property maintenance coordination is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, legal documentation, and compliance records.
