What You'll Do:
- Oversee all building, equipment, and grounds maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-kept community environment.
- Perform and assign preventive maintenance tasks weekly, monthly, and annually for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and code standards.
- Supervise and schedule housekeeping and maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors; ensure timely completion and quality of work.
- Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and records using internal tracking systems (e.g., TELs).
- Respond to after-hours emergencies such as power loss, system breakdowns, or safety incidents.
- Maintain community cleanliness and curb appeal—including landscaping, snow removal, and common area upkeep.
- Assist residents with minor repairs and moving furniture as needed.
- Coordinate inspections and compliance with health, fire, and safety regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning for property updates and renovations.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or maintenance training preferred.
- Experience in building maintenance; assisted living or long-term care experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general mechanical systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and supervise staff and coordinate vendor work.
- Basic computer skills for tracking maintenance and repairs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and respond to after-hours emergencies.
