The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in quality systems, CMM programming, statistical process control, and compliance with ISO 9001. This role is key to supporting customer requirements, ensuring regulatory traceability, and maintaining exceptional product quality in a highly technical, cleanmanufacturingenvironment. The right candidate will be given the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical components that support life sciences and high tech innovation and make life better.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, maintain and optimizes quality processes, procedures and Quality Management System (QMS) that support ISO 9001 compliance, and customer-specific quality requirement. Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the quality management system to assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies.Lead and assist with all ISO audits, customer audits and internal audits to verify quality system compliance and operational excellence.Support and perform in-process, final, and first article inspections on precision-machined plastic parts, ensuring they meet tight tolerances and functional specifications using precision measurement equipment including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface testers, vision systems and optical comparators.Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using platforms such as PC-DMIS or similar, to measure complex geometries.Interpret engineering drawings including GD&T; apply correct measurement techniques based on material behavior of plastics and dimensional tolerances (e.g., Acrylic, PEEK, PTFE, Ultem, UHMWPE).Identify and document non-conformances/RMA's; lead corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities and drive root cause analysis efforts.Analyzing data to identify trends in product quality or defects, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective and preventative actions to mitigate and prevent future issues and opportunities for process improvement.Maintain and calibrate precision inspection tools and ensure traceability of measurement data and product history.Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality concerns, perform problem solving and support continuous improvement initiatives.Own and support First Article Inspections (FAIs), customer qualification runs, and production part approvals (PPAP, PFMEA, etc.) as required.RequirementsHigh School Diploma.5+ years of experience in a quality role within a precision CNC machining environment, preferably working with plastics.Core Competences:Equivalent hands-on experience considered with formal quality or quality adjacent training / certifications such as those by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).Proficiency in engineering and statistical software (e.g., Solidworks, OnShape, Minitab, Excel, etc.).Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and good documentation practices.Proficient in GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading.Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), Gage R&R, and MSA tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using Lean root cause tools (5 Whys, FMEA, Ishikawa, etc.).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact and collaborate across all levels internally with customers and cross-functional teams.PreferencesAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.Experience working with life sciences or medical industry customers, including understanding of cleanliness, documentation, and traceability expectations. Experience with or supporting customers that use ISO 13485 preferred.Proficiency in CMM programming and operation (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent).Experience developing ISO standards; achieved and/or maintained ISO certification in a manufacturing facility.Familiarity with plastics machining tolerances, stress relief techniques, and visual standards.Experience with ERP or QMS software such as NetSuite, Plex, or similar.CQE or Six Sigma certification is a plus.Demonstrated ability to prioritize and lead multiple concurrent projects and key initiatives based on the distinct needs of the business.Travel & Work Arrangements/RequirementsOnsiteThe pay range for this role is $85,000-110,000, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
