AWS is seeking a Startups GenAI Operations Manager to join our Global Startups GenAI Ops team. The team is responsible for supporting the Global GenAI Startups Sales, Solutions Architecture and Go-To-Market Business Development teams. Aligned with the Global GenAI STL, this operations team creates and maintains all mechanisms and projects to scale the GenAI team globally – all within an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity.

As a trusted advisor to the Startup leadership team, the Startups GenAI Operations Manager will provide strategic insights and recommendations based on in-depth analysis of sales coverage, total addressable market, customer segmentation, and other key areas. This position will lead time-sensitive executive responses and conduct comprehensive data analyses to inform leadership decisions. Additionally, they will oversee strategic, cross-functional initiatives including go-to-market motions, organizational design, incentive compensation modeling, and resource deployment, while driving operational planning processes and leading executive response efforts.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models/data. They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. They will have great communication and customer-relationship skills, strong analytical insights, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal stakeholders. Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Sales, Solutions Architect, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, Compensation, Services, and other Operations teams will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. They will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Finance, Business Development, or other related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Understanding of start-ups, venture capital firms, or start-up ecosystem organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management.
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
