Job Description
X-energy LLC is hiring an experienced Plant and Process Design Engineer to join its Reactors team. This role is responsible for designing and developing a feedwater and steam based mechanical system and its associated components. This system will provide water and accept steam or water from a steam generator, dissipate the heat and return the water to the steam generator to control (lower or raise) temperature within the entire system. It includes identifying requirements, conceptualizing system architecture and developing the layout through final design, performing process calculations, selecting and specifying equipment components ensuring they meet all technical specifications and program/project requirements. Additionally, this role oversees the implementation of rigorous, repeatable System Engineering processes, ensures technical integration, monitors risks, and provides system-level oversight and support.
